This is super relatable for me but I tend to see through the ADHD manager's plan to challenge me and if they do this often I just view them as manipulative. How do I overcome this situation? Also, I often am the manager. How do I avoid having my ADHD make life hard for those I manage?

I have actually been training my manager to use this tactic (only when necessary!) to help motivate my ADHD brain. I explained: "The deadline is the thing I go by, so don't tell me it's a higher priority. The only thing more important than deadline is unexpected urgency." So occasionally she asks me if i can do a reasonable amount of work very quickly, and always appreciates my quick turnaround.
Now my boss knows how to trick my brain for our mutual benefit. π

By the end of next week for me means sunday night 23.10 if you actually need it now and in time to make changes say drop everything and do this in a day to 36 h.

I may/may not be adhd, but I do some of my best work under pressure, and with zero distractions. Also, no breaks for lunch, water, etc.
