This tune was banned from radio play on the island because at the end of the last chorus folks broke beer bottles at the same time all over Jamaica. The moment memorialized when the gangster who coerced Morgan into producing the song was shot to death by rivals in a crowded dancehall bar. He had been rolling for days and began breaking bottles during the chorus. While weak with drink he made an irresistible target for his enemies. When the gun smoke cleared the song shot up to the top tune of Jamaica. Eventually suffering banishment from the airwaves (at least until the craze passed) . Jukeboxes were still pumping it out in smaller pockets of resistance against censorship and beer bottles!
