Helped a woman I didn’t know at the gas station the other day. Her hands were completely full and she was trying to get a drink out of the cooler. I offered to hold some of her stuff, took it to the counter for her and she thanked me many times. Got in line behind her and she even offered to buy the chips and drink in my hand. I politely declined and thanked her for the gesture. It was a great exchange and I know I didn’t help her out of a huge jam, but I saw someone who needed help and did what I thought was the right thing.
Men who are decent and helpful are out there, we just know when we are being taken advantage of by spoiled, narcissistic women.
