I just put my skate about 90 degrees to the side, the rubber on the skate acts as a sort of brake

You will become a waaay better skater with the plugs

I got my own vans custom skates and took the toe stoppers off completely and put fiberglass wheels on. If you donāt know what they are their the most mobile wheels you can get and are completely grip less. Itās like skating in ice and extremely slippery, theirs no limit. Theirs not real way to stop but to slow down I usually either slide one foot to the side forward and the other one kinda dragging or do a spin.

i started street skating with jam plugs and it caused me to get a lot more creative with stopping!
