I have tried this before and it doesn't work for me, what does however is literally blowing air down the side of the joysticks and clicking them repeatedly, this really helps me and I'd recommend for people to try it

[Alternative - First Aid Solution]
>Take a Straw, Flatten it so it looks like this []
fit it in the analog stick from the side while holding the stick down, as you hold the stick a space should appear where you can fit the straw safely, now blow really-really hard from the other end of the straw (or pull air, up to you... but be careful... and don't overdo it).
Enjoy a Drift-Free experience along with a really bad headache for a moment.
>Alternative: Use compressed Air in the same way, as you hold-down the analog-stick, blow inside that space.
If nothing worked, adjust your dead-zone. If you are on PC, use a program that does that for you, if not, use your console settings if there are any.
Keep in mind that you do not need to slide the compressor or the straw too deep in, you do not want to damage anything so be gentle :)
If nothing worked and you have warranty then of course replace the product within that time.
Technically this should not void warranty because you literally only blow wind in it and did not open it or anything, so be aware of that and be aware to not-damage your product.

It's not centered due to wear and tear. Blow the controller out with air then move the joysticks around and hope they are dead center then turn the remote back on.

This is literally just not true, it doesn’t really do anything. What does work and has for me many times is taking a compressed air can and spraying it in the controllers joysticks.
