Nothing like it right now - they were all Designed together BUT I released the smaller versions first 7.1 and 7.75 first to EASE the Paradigm in our "traditional" Outrigger Paddling community .. the Delay on releasing the 8.5 in wide @ 133 sq. in. allowed me to TWEAK the design lamination to create an even THINNER blade with Carbon RIBS ( internal carbon tubes ) to reinforce the STRENGTH of the Bigger Surface area .. virtually the same weight as the 7.75 - The 8.5 is basically our advanced STEERING Blade if you choose to do so .. because you're PADDLING most of the time .. the shape allows you to do POWER STEERING ! and PADDLE STEER so much easier ...
