Yes all of us older folks remember when this happened. They all knew something was off but they couldnāt tell exactly what it was. That small of a difference is a big mistake but itās easy to make and hard to find. The injured ladies definitely got screwed over big time.

That was an Olympic competition, how the heck do you set equipment wrong, I hope the athletes sued them for negligence, and had them banned for life from any such events, since they didn't give a damn about double checking the measurements since that was their complete responsibility

As a gymnast and judge, this is not just a fault of the organizers, but also the coaches. The coaches are supposed to check the height before their athletes go.

I remember when this happened. The athletes were telling their coaches that something didnāt feel right. Itās a shame some were injured and had to drop out.
