Let go of the weed a long time ago. l already struggle with procrastination, I don't need extra help. It also started to give me anxiety, which defeated the purpose. People will quit when the time is right for them, and if it doesn't affect them in a negative way, than more power to them. It just comes down to being honest with yourself, on what you're trying to escape from, and if the consequences are worth it..

Weed is relatively innocuous as “drugs” go, but it’s not entirely harmless. The biggest dangers are that it makes one too comfortable with not progressing in life goals, and it tends to make concepts seem more profound than they really are. That said, it’s far less dangerous than damn near any other recreational substance, and many (maybe even most) of my favorite artists have spent plenty of quality time with Mary. Still a fun song.
EDIT (after a few comments):
I’m an emergency nurse and a paramedic. Know how many marijuana overdose deaths I’ve seen? Exactly: none. Know how many alcohol, tobacco, opioid, or otherwise “illicit street drugs” deaths I’ve seen? Correct: too many to count. These things are not the same. I concede that marijuana is not wholly harmless; it slows reaction time, inhibits memory retention, makes otherwise simple concepts seem more profound than they actually are, kills motivation, and (depending on how one consumes it) can cause respiratory problems. But, unless you’re a proponent of the “gateway” theory (and I sure as hell am NOT), it’s still a relatively innocuous substance.

This is my final 4:20 after smoking for around 10 years.
Thank you Jesse, I really appreciate this song.
Lets hope quitting sticks this time.!

My younger brother overuses weed. He self medicates for his anxiety and other mental issues. He used to be so creative, but now all he does is get stupid high, lay around, and spend tons of money on weed. Always in debt and never remembers anything.
Can't have in-depth conversations cause he gets distracted. Gets lost driving even with gps. Once he got lost on a lunch break at work for 45 extra minutes. He called me trying to navigate back - he was across the street. 🙄
He was never like this before having weed daily

I love the line "they get in the way of being yourself and that's the crime"
