the heat is too high. on the sides you can see the sugar bubbling. put it on low heat and stir while it is melting. then you added too much baking soda. put less next time.

So basically leave spot that you can see the pan and when it looks like it’s steamy or watery ig start mixing very fast then take it off the stove put the baking soda in it or whatever and make sure it our cup has vegetable oil in the bottom so it doesn’t stick hope this helps!!
