The kampf signing was good tho. We had a revolving door of bottom 6 players and needed a guy like him. When they signed him he was one of the better 4th liners in the league and a decent penalty killer. Quiet hard worker that didnt complain and just showed up he was good for the team.

The 1 thing I would argue with about the Kampf contract is that Tre was competing with Tre. Honestly. Would any other team have paid him that contract and viewed him as a 3c?

- how will the Leafs do this year and next…without the cancerous Marner.
- how will Captain Courageous do without the cancerous Marner…forget about 69g ever again
- how will the 6-3, 230lb Knies do…without the cancerous Marner
- will the Leafs advance to the 2nd round, without the cancerous Marner
- who will eat his TOI (EVS, PP, PK)
- how will Marner do without Captain Courageous on his line
- how will Vegas and Marner’s linemates perform this year
- even with the BRILLIANT Trey Living, will the Leafs EVER come close to what they did in the regular season last year.
Oh, and who’s call was it to make Captain Courageous CAPTAIN….someone in marketing I suspect.

I don't like him. Sure he's better then what we had...that's not hard to beat. He watches Bennett beat up our players and does nothing to address that problem.

When he signed kampf the team needed depth and he was truly one of their most consistent playoff performers. He was better in the playoffs than regular season unlike everyone else on the roster. He was a soldier and was rewarded. Truly should have been groomed to be the 3c . With the right linemates and given some time im sure he would have earned the $$$ . On a team like boston i could see him thrive in a consistent defensive role
