It’s a complex issue for the whole world as we earth is heavily overpopulated, to the point humans are now a virus not a steward!
If we come to the understanding that bringing a life into this world is not a right, just look we’re that has got us but an obligation to that life’s well being. New life should ultimately have more rights than the person or persons wanting a child. It’s after all not about them, babies are not dollies or idealistic dreams of wants and needs. That is selfish, the day humanity wakes up and sees exactly what a child needs and if you can realistically offer that child all it needs, I believe the child has the right to sue you and why not! It’s incompetence on your part! Children are not cheap, and need unconditional love and support, it’s no joke, if you can’t support them financially or give them unconditional love and support what right do you have! It’s not your life at stake it’s theirs a human trusting you with its life and all that they need to hopefully life a life then without hardship!
Who knows if humanity grew up maybe the population of earth wouldn’t overheat with unwanted uncared for unloved children. Then we might stop being a virus and more a steward of our home, earth!

I've heard psychologists point out that one of the knock-on effects of smaller families in The West is that people are extremely precious with their children, and that overprotective parenting leads to sheltered children who struggle with the brutality of the real world. I've heard the Chinese describe the "Little Emperor" phenomena. I'd imagine it's an extreme version of the West's sheltered and spoiled millennials (I say as a millennial).
