Just an fyi if you injure your back at work make sure you demand an mri as soon as possible as an X-ray doesn’t pick up slipped, ruptured and herniated disk. Workers comp will try and put off an mri for month while doing physical therapy because they know after six month a doctor can not say for sure if it’s work related.

My old employer decided to ignore a steel safety plate tore every ligament in my right knee couldnt walk for almost a year 5 surgerys . All said and done worst care you will ever recieve. I dont wish a workers comp injury on anyone.

Quitting manufacturing is probably the best thing I've ever done. God awful people in upper management. I can tell you how many floor managers and other employees just walked out in the middle of the day. One day half the positions in every department just up and quit in the middle of the day and their big solution to that was increasing every day to a 12 hour work day, and making Saturdays mandatory. And it was still over a year before they decided to fix the giant holes in the blast machine, fixing the line that kept dropping entire machines from the ceiling, the giant screw that kept jamming up and causing friction burns so bad that they were burning the iron. God have mercy on such shit people.

I got rear ended in a company vehicle on the job and it was a FIGHT to even get office hours to get off ladders and stuff. My back was absolutely killing me even laying in bed but 2 weeks of chilling at the office solved the problem. If I had to carry spools of wire up ladders after the wreck I’d be bedridden by the age of 30
