The Vishuddhi Chakra (5th Chakra) is located in the vicinity of the Larynx and is therefore also known as the Throat Chakra. It regulates the functional regions of the thyroid, parathyroid, jaw, neck, mouth, tongue, and larynx. The thyroid is one of the initial endocrine organs to differentiate and has an important hormonal role in embryonic development.

A balanced throat chakra fosters qualities like confidence, decisive ability or congnition, integrity, creative expression in the growing foetus. Activating this chakra by the mother ensures strong foundation of these virtues in the developing foetus. Conversely, an imbalance can lead to less expressive and introvert personality traits.

The mother should engage in creative activities like garbh samvad (talking to the baby in the womb), writing letters to the baby, journaling to convey that verve to the baby.
