Maa Kushmanda, revered on the fourth day of Navratri, is believed to be the creator of the universe. With her radiant smile, she is said to have brought the cosmos (Brahmanda) into existence. Her name, Kushmanda, derives from "Ku" meaning 'small,' "Ushma" meaning 'energy' or 'warmth,' and "Anda" meaning 'cosmic egg.' Maa Kushmanda is also associated with the Anahata (heart) chakra, symbolizing love, compassion, positivity, and empathy.

Day 5 is dedicated to Skandamata, the mother of Lord Kartikeya and a form of Goddess Durga. It is believed that by worshipping Maa Skandamata, devotees also receive blessings from her son, Lord Kartikeya, whom she holds in her arms. The sixth day of Shardiya Navratri is dedicated to Maa Katyayani. The goddess rides on the magnificent lion and is depicted with four, ten, or eighteen hands. In most depictions, she carries a lotus flower and sword in her left hand and keeps her right hand in Abhaya and Varada Mudra.

On the 8th day of Navratri, known as Durga Ashtami, devotees honor Mahagauri, the goddess symbolizing purity, grace, and serenity. Maa Siddhidatri, worshipped on Navami, symbolizes supreme power. In Hindu mythology, she emerged from Lord Shiva's left half when he worshipped Adi-Parashakti, making him Ardha-Narishwar. Siddhidatri, the giver of supernatural powers, is said to have brought light and life into the universe with her radiant smile.
