Frequency of purchase and retention of customer, measured through the D30 and D90 ratio is something I’ve seen most people miss out on recording.

It’s the number of your customers who are retained / come back to buy in 30 days and 90 days from their last purchase.

In terms of benchmarks, while it’s hard, with rising customer acquisition costs, a D90 rate of 25%+ is considered essential to check for customer love and loyalty that comes from a differentiated offering.

Installing a CRM software to capture this data is becoming all the more important even at the early stages.
