I've watched this video repeatedly, so many times. This opened up repressed, buried, stored and locked away memories. Caused me to sit and think about it all

Thank you

😞😞😞😞😞☹️❀.
This made me so emotional. It was very cruel of her to not feel how upset you were by this as a child and to respond with violence.

These ppl are demon

This is awful. Sorry for your pain and experience, that your mom abused you, hit you this way. I wish continued healing and that you find solace in continuing to be open about your story and courageous πŸ–€. As someone said, yes, hugs to the little baby girl. And adult girl and girl/woman

Anything she could do to humiliate me! I was a good child. Not necessary the amount of abuse at her hands

As soon as you said escalator I froze! When I was 5 I was at the Mall with my mom and went to step down my foot landed on the edge and I literally tucked and rolled all the way down the escalator metal steps hitting my head back etc.. I landed flat at the bottom crying hysterically from fear and the pain. My mom lifted me off the ground and slapped me in the face telling Me not to cause a scene. I didnt understand why she hit me instead of comfort me when it was an accident..now i know. This is wild you had an escalator story too and our moms had similar reactions. That's wild. Stay Blessed SWB

I’m sorry this happened to you. Sending you a virtual hug. πŸ₯° I can identify with receiving some of the parenting, you mention at the hands of baby boomer parents. Although all weren’t malicious, a lot of them parented from ignorance and lack of information about disabilities, mental health, trauma, ect. In their generation these things were taboo, stigmatized and there was no education or empathy around them. Thank God society has progressed to the level of education and awareness we have now. No one should ever be abused. Punishing a child for a disability is just cruel. Not taking ownership or apologizing is twisted
