Some of us don’t feel “worthy”; so, we don’t advocate for ourselves.
Some of us don’t readily demonstrate or show our wounds!
We often go unnoticed and many of us do self-damage or worse.
This allows the government to further ignore us or take further advantage of us!
Veterans must support one another whether injured or not!
Too many of us go unrecognized and then get blamed for not “asking for help” or “reaching out”. How can we, if we are unable for whatever reasons to do what others might think is an instinctual thing?!!

Has anyone ever approached a veteran and asked them " ok what skills have you learned from the military?". Some food for thought. Instead of it being a sob story why not turn a veterans skillset into an asset? There's something non social media for the public. And no emojis either. If civilians know how to disrespect let me be the first to show what an asset is. No typical social media logic or thinking here.

I feel you I have plenty of homies that are getting screwed over but we where told from the get go once we joined the military create a paper trail. I was diagnosed with tbi in 2011 at 10% then over a decade later ptsd started affecting me negatively I went to the va and they hooked me up with pstd/tbi 70%, headaches 30%, tinnitus 10%, and the rest at 10% each both knees both shoulders neck and upper and lower spine. I'm currently at 90% for the moment which is helping me out so much, especially as I'm working on fixing myself. The va has never turned me down or re-nigged, one day I'll make a push for 100%. I'm a grunt who spent 27 months in active combat survived multiple explosions and lost more friends than I will ever attempt to count. Yes it sucks for those that have put in real work and don't have a paper trail so for the mean while I will help my brothers and sisters as much as I can.

The betrayal hit me hard. I did everything i could in the time i served, i would get told "if you aint broken dont go to medical" or "im not saying not to go but we need all of you in the fight" so i sucked it up and now that everything i endured is getting worse and i dont have anything that proves my conditions are military related.

It took me 15 years and 3 denials to get my first 10% disability and that's AFTER a fellow Veteran pushed me to try again. And then another 8 years and 6 denials to scratch and claw my way to 90%. I never felt so used in all my life.
Oh, and because of the work I do, I watch new Veterans get 100% ratings before they are discharged for less injuries than I've seen during my service.
And to make it worse, I watch the government literally throw billions and trillions of our tax dollars to whatever program, country, or war to keep them rich. It's disgusting, demoralizing, and vile how they treat veterans.
