Scores of delegates exited the hall of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu walked to the podium to deliver his speech on September 26, 2025.
As delegates stood up and left, attendees in the balcony rose to their feet and gave Netanyahu a standing ovation.
In his address, Netanyahu vowed to continue Israel’s war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip and assured hostages still held by Palestinian militants that they had not been forgotten.
Israel’s military response has killed more than 65,000 people in Gaza, according to local health officials, and left much of the territory in ruins.
