Strong will. I learned that from being poor af๐ Now I'm saving 1/3 of my paycheck. I'm baking bread myself (and other stuff), I'm cooking from scratch and I don't do "fancy" food, I don't eat out, I'm not buying stuff I don't need. It's tempting to buy BTS's albums and merch but I don't do it. I'm saving for a few things I need. Firs buy what you need then you can buy what you want. It's that easy and that hard at the same time ๐

So step one: take x amount of euros out of every paycheck as soon as you get it and put that in your korean trip jar, stick to that habit every paycheck and you'll also know how long it will take you to save up for a trip ๐
And then budget. Like tell yourself okay I get 100 euros per month to dine out, and when you've spent your 100 euros, you're done eating out for that month. It sucks, but that is a good way to have discipline on spending. I can't really give advice, though. I try to budget, but I'm so bad ๐

Me too I have no self control and spend over stupid things... But what I do is... When I go out I just carry limited amount of money... Leave my card... That way if I want to buy many things but i won't be able to buy it..... When I was in University my roommate and I are always food delivery apps..we love chiken... Then I always end up cooking myself and we share the amount..... At the end of the year she thanked me.... I saved my money and hers too. ๐๐๐๐

Have you ever heard of Dave Ramsey? He turned my life around as far as finances. Basically spend every penny with intension. If you want to be able to โblowโ some money then work that into your budget and donโt spend a penny more. Also, Budget for that trip and put aside whatever amount to decide onโฆ you budget every centโฆ

Oof, way too relatable! ๐ What helped me was making a separate account and a certain amount is automatically transferred to it when my paycheck comes in so it doesn't show as available in my main account. You can always regulate the amount along the way. But yeah, I definitely feel you on this matter. ๐
