In my opinion, I’ve seen a massive uptake in mainstream reporting. For example, there was an American 777 that had a tire pressure indication and landed safely at LAX. It made international headlines.

My family retired from Boeing & we are all saddened at how low their quality has sunk because of corporate profits & greed over human life. Demand better!

The whistleblower told us, its quality control/inspection issue and likely not exclusive to boeing.

What's going on is, an aircraft sitting in a maintenance hangar does not turn a profit. So, they carry discrepancies until the plane won't fly anymore, then do repairs. Sometimes the plane decides it won't fly anymore while in the air, though. We are seeing the media focus on deferred aircraft maintenance catching up with airlines.

A lot of these maintenance issues are coming out of their San Francisco hub

Neglect and poor maintenance...Money over safety...I wouldn't fly United for any amount of money...

I work in higher education, and I recently attended a summit about workforce education programs, and one of the takeaways is that seasoned mechanics are starting to retire, and airlines are struggling to recruit new aviation mechanics, and the schools aren't graduating them quickly enough.

If this trend continues, we'll soom start seeing these 'mishaps' pop-up in other U.S. airlines, as well.

I just remember the days when China Airlines used to have a crash every couple years back in the 1990s

Likely has been going on for a long time, but now has the attention of media. I am seeing the same symptoms in other industries I use services from: Amazon misdelivers packages to wrong address. Bank sends out duplicate payment check for same bill. Fast food order gives wrong order to customer. All events have been going on, some we are more attuned to than others. As this is a human safety issue if a mistake leads to death or injury, the outcry for oversight needs to be strong and severe against the perpetrators. Never doubt the influence of $$$ on the these situations, too. In any case, unfortunately, a fatal incident - not an 'accident' - will likely be necessary for Boeing and other companies to be hammered for the sloth, laziness, and double-standards which are causing the issues noted. Humans are imperfect; that is why doubling-down on accountability is a neccessity.

After watching all the Mayday episodes -They arent doing full D checks for their Aircraft, maintenence (training may be sub par) and likely understaffed. And/or company is underfunding or making policies for when maintenence happens.
It seems to happen more when a company has some financial crisis that they are trying to undercut in places to profit later.

All what he said happens to every airline but United happen to be one of the biggest airlines so they have a lot of aircraft’s, but the main thing is that United and Boeing gets a lot of media attention, that’s why it looks like it only happens to United and Boeing!

I appreciate that you point out that this isn't a Boeing issue. Hope United can improve the way they do things.

Look into the DEI hiring policies. Those are complicated machines requiring maintenance by the best qualified people.

I don’t think the problem is Boeing. It’s how United maintains their planes.

The plane sliding off the runway was my inbound plane. Flight barely got delayed while they switched aircraft very fast.

Well, on a positive note, United announced that at least half of their cadet pilots will be from a diverse background. So they've got that going for them.

This is all going back to United! NO ONE ELSE’S FAULT! These kind of issues are from POOR MECHANICS AND BAD MAINTENANCE PRACTICES BY UNITED! NOT THE MANUFACTURERS! 😂 🤯
Still wow! 😮 😵 😵
