Me, an economy flyer: There are specific prestigious seats in business class?

The last rows are always next to the lavatories on the business class flights I’ve been to, so there are people passing constantly as well as the flushing noise. Don’t feel like I would enjoy that so I’m avoiding those seats like the plague.

I’ve typically flown business class on Emirates. I hate the last row because you are close to the galley where people go and stand around the bar or have to walk to go to the bathroom. That same issue may apply to the front area as well but the first class cabins have privacy doors so they don’t care.

On my return trip from Maldives to Dubai airport and then to New York City, that last row was hell for a couple who not only didn’t get to sit next to each other, but we’re near the galley and separated by the aisle.

The last row is where people stand in line for the washroom. So you often have people standing over. Plus the noise of the toilet doors opening and closing. I prefer the middle for this reason. (Front row you are close to the attendants prepping food, also noisy)

I was flying long haul on an unnamed airlines once and selected the last row of business class seat and before takeoff the flight attendant came to me and said "Sir we have empty seats in the front, would you like to move up so the Economy passengers don't bother you" but flying business for the first time I understood the peasants and royalty concept 😂

I had the same thought and so specifically booked an end row seat with Qatar but the first thing I didn’t like was the long long line of economy passengers who had to file past this seat (maybe not the case with other airlines where business is completely left and economy right. It just made the usually relaxing welcome drink part of the flight not so enjoyable. Also found that you are stuck with lots traffic to the bathroom from other passengers in these seats. Another thing to consider is that the flight attendants are constantly in and out of the storage compartments placed in this area as they prepare service. I tried the end seat just the once and wouldn’t do it again but it was worth trying at least and maybe on other airlines or airplane models it wouldn’t have these inconveniences.

HARD NO. I felt so sorry for the business class people in the last row of the last two Emirates flights I was on. Only a curtain between them and economy and the babies go in that first row of economy… guess who suffers through that the whole flight? Yep the business class back row.

Never! Bathrooms, noise for food prep, served last --- no way !

Not a fan of the last row in J. Often there is a galley for the economy section or a toilet immediately behind you.

In some airlines, people in higher status get to choose their food first so it doesn’t matter where you sit.

I sat first row business class on the way to London and it was extremely loud the entire flight and the back row on the way back and it was a much more enjoyable experience.

Does not work on every airline… sometimes the last rows are the worst!

I tried this on flights to and from Hawaii. I had 4 flights total. I chose 2 in the front and 2 in the back The last seat was definitely most private! Thank you Dan😊

I thought it was for the taking photos / videos reason hahaha. I do the same. Nobody behind you watching you take cabin footage in the last row 👌

I also like that last swat in business. The down side is no view of the engine
