This was my 4th or 5th foot break - my first one was when I was about 10. None of them were super bad breaks but still, broken bones can hurt like hell especially if you try to walk on them or move them. This most recent one was weird because it hurt really bad after it happened, then got better, and then got far worse. I remember the day after it got worse - I was walking around on it all day in a shoe and every step hurt and I was thinking "damn it, not again!!!" Doc visit, cast on, crutches for about the first week, then walking normally for 5 weeks. I even went on vacation. But after many weeks of my better foot picking up the slack, it was sore and achy and I strapped on the CAM boot for a few days before finally getting the cast off.
