NOTHING could change how much I love this boy. Regardless of the hard, the exhaustion, the challenges. He is simply amazing and I love the crap out of him! But I would have never thought in a million years that I would end up raising an autistic child. The kind that struggles with speech, sleep, eloping. And although we have seen massive improvements with his echoing and trying desperately to speak, I am dying to hear him say these simple words. I tell him multiple times each days how much I love him, how much his daddy and brother, grammas and papas, everyone, loves him.
So if your child has speech and is annoying you with all the questions, the never ending chitter, please take a deep breath and soak it all in and enjoy it. There are so many other moms just hoping and praying for a simple I love you. Or anything really. Heck, if he said sh*t I would jump for joy because he was speaking! ❤️ And I am hopeful. I know one day I will get to hear those words. But for now, it just sucks.
