• Early screening can save lives. The American Cancer Society advises that men at very high risk should consider screening by age 40. High-risk individuals, including Black men and those with a family history of prostate cancer, should start discussions about screening by age 45.
• Standard screening tests include the PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen) test and the DRE (Digital Rectal Exam). If your PSA is over 2.5, annual screenings are recommended.
• Always consult with your healthcare provider to understand the best time and approach for screening.

Didn't OJ have routine prostate screenings? I get my PSA taken every year before I see my Internist. The results are actually on the site from the facility I get them done from. I see them before my Internist. I don't get the digital rectal exam every year, but I do get them. It's nothing to fool with. I have two friends who were diagnosed with early prostate cancer. Both are clear and survivors.
