eTransit vs Transit driving differences. Even though there are a lot of similarities, there are some key differences. But, in the end, both are great to drive!

James and I are currently test-camping in Winnebago’s prototype eRV2 van. It’s our first time driving an all-electric vehicle; and it’s certainly been interesting!⚡️

What kind of range do you get?

A camper with a range of 120 miles is pretty useless when most travel 250-300 in one go to the next destination. You stop, waste time waiting for it to charge, spend money on a coffee or snacks and wonder why it took all day to travel what you used to in an afternoon.

Sucks. Because my state will be implementing for vehicles and commercial vehicles in B class C $2500 per year plus taxes class B vehicles $5000+ tags and taxes class eight vehicles $10,000 per year plus tags and taxes plus higher insurance environmental impact. Plus insurance companies will not ensure 85% of EV vehicles in our state. All money collected for private EV vehicles commercial EV vehicles will be put aside for fire departments and state, EPA

I drive these all day for Walmart and the range is honestly it’s biggest set backs. Especially in Las Vegas where charge stations are few and far apart and are always full, I know I have to dedicate a chunk of my day just to make sure I can get back to my store

There's so much problem that no one talks about.. I will stay with a gas powered ford transit.. I never have to worry about fires or charging station.. not to mention time lost when charging because it takes so long to get a full charge

Does the solar recharge the drive battery, does it do it while driving. Have you considered hooking up a gas/diesel generator for expanded range? Interested in that solution myself but don’t have the know how as of now.

I own an EV and I think this is silly, the frontal area of an RV is much too large to have any kind of decent range. Only being able to go 100 miles on a charge is not enough distance with the poor charging infrastructure. Hybrid powertrain would make much more sense here.
