The driver Frank Favara hit Franky by accident because the sun was in his face and couldn't see very well, and franky came out from behind a dumpster or something like that and Mr. Favara couldn't see him. Mr.Favara was not speeding nor was he drunk. The death was ruled an accident and Mr.Favara was not found to have acted recklessly so Mr.Favara was not charged with any criminal offense. Mr. Favara tried to speak to the Gotti's but they were not having any of it. Frank Favara went to talk to the Gotti's and was attacked by Victoria Gotti with a baseball bat. This was a tragic accident that was Franky Gotti's fault. Had Franky of listened to his father and stayed home and had not been riding around on an illegal mini bike, he would probably still be alive today. The New York police department and the F.B.I advised Mr.Favara to leave New York. Unfortunately he did not do so in time and Mr.Favara was kidnapped by John Gotti's crew and he was killed, dismembered and dissolved in acid.

Frank Favara was working at the Castro Convertible in New Hyde Park, Long Isaland. Guys in a white van went into Castro Convertible dragged him out into the van and.he was.never seen again. There was a diner next door. The owner of the diner witnessed it. He was so afraid he sold the business and moved away.

My cousin was hit while driving a moped back in the late 70s and I believe that it was in Queens and he was only 15 y.o. at the time.This is such a heartbreaking story.Regardless of how you feel about people involved,to find your child laying in the street like that is just so sad.
