For those saying he doesn’t know music theory or he doesn’t use it: if you look up on YouTube the video where he talks about the making of “G.O.A.T” he mentions how he relies heavy on chord tones/voicing to create his melodies; he also does attempt to mimic the rhythmic pattern a rapper/singer uses on guitar. He does have some knowledge of theory as he does mention certain things related to it in passing. He also has a interview with Rick Beato about the boomer bends controversy where he talks a little more about his process in composition.
