Some scrap metal and duct tape make any socket a weighted socket lol... usually when i work on cars my car is out of comission

The added weight actually is meant to hammer the bolt to its breaking point.

I'm gonna say if anything, it's because the socket wall is thicker, allowing a more efficient transfer of energy. The socket isn't flexing with the hammering from the impact and absorbing the shock. But that's just my $.02

There's a tool that fits in the crank pulley to hold the crank in place so you can break the bolt loose...a weighted socket only works part of the time

OEM brand 19mm. My 1/2 Milwaukee took my Si crank pulley.

I used a 4 foot wrench with a cheater to get the crank bolt off my duramax. 250ft-lb spec with red loctite. I bet that same wrench could get this off.

and there's actually a way better tool for this that holds the harmonic balancer with one brealer bar while you break the bolt lose with another

Heat the bolt up with an acetylene torch. Comes right off.

Never a problem with my worn out, had it too many years, been dropped off of too many ladders, ingersol 2131 and a standard shallow snap on 19 mm socket. Of course i have a real compressor driving it.

My breaker bar with a 19mm. Broke it loose with ease. Nothing fancy to get.

180ft/lbs torque. I used and impact and plenty of wd.

So I got mine off with a breaker bar and a little heat from the torch, came off easy only hit it with the torch for 10/15 seconds

it doesn't create more tq it creates more inertia

So I bought a $500 air impact when all I needed was a $20 socket π

The honda tool that fits the other then you use the socket and break it loose

Get a 3/4 inch drive impact. Usually takes everything off.
