as crazy as this sounds ive always had a membrane and i really REALLY wanted a mechanical so i built a 75% keyboard with linear and very smooth switches. I loved the sound of it compared to membrane but i returned the parts to get a new one. In the meantime i needed to use a membrane again but i then realized i preferred the feel of a membrane. maybe im just used to it or something.

I've always liked membrane keyboards more both the feeling of typing on it and the sound, although I've never touched a Mechanical one in my life.
