Was your camera screen turning black and then the light next to the power switch was flashing red? I have been having a problem with my Komodo when using hand held and pressing the vmount battery against my chest causing the camera to suddenly go black and start flashing red light on the power button side. I have to pull the battery off and back on to get it to come back to life. Curious if this is the same problem you had. I might have to try this.
