Deer are always attracted to farm equipment and chainsaws. When you fell a tree and then leave the area, the deer will come to the area to browse on the tops of the tree that still have vegetation that they wouldn’t ordinarily be able to reach if the tree was standing.

I learned when I'm cutting trees deer come in to browse on the tips and small branches that freshly hit the ground they get used of the noise and know its feeding time

We’ve done a lot of cutting in the winter over the years while building food plots and the sound of chainsaws is a magnet for deer this time of year. They equate that sound with tree tops loaded with new buds, on the ground where they can be reached.
