I have played Destiny since the Destiny 1 Beta, and the reason why Bungie has started with law suits toward cheaters is because of their $3.6 billion deal they recently made with Sony at the end of last year. Cheating had become rampant before then, even on console. Then as new contracts were signed, they finally had to crack down on the cheating. So the lawsuits began because cheating wasn't the only problem.

DMCA copy right strikes and law suits were going out too for the sound track music toward content creators, the very same creators who supported their game loyally and since the beginning. Only a handful have the rights who have confirmed contact with the Bungie Dev Team.

Next were the data leakers or leaked story details and future seasons before it was meant for release.

The issue I have is even after a $3.6 Billion dollar deal with Sony, and the Millions they are making from cheater lawsuits, the game has gotten worse instead of better. Wonder where all that money is going?????

This is one of my major reasons for Quitting Destiny and Playing more PUBG. The Destiny Community has become increasingly toxic and plenty of scandals to go around. Players are making money off of the game threw "recov" services which is handing your account over to another player to let them complete the grind for you. Mostly Trials of Osiris Recov's for winning PvP matches for high tier loot drops.

Its become a joke and New Bungie is nothing like the old Bungie. They learned too much from their old Merchandiser, Activision.
