The sad truth is that the people that need to hear this message the most are the ones least likely to hear it. And those few that need to and do, are too in love with themselves to think they could ever be mistaken. Like being wrong is some unpardonable crime that they just happened to be well above.

The problem I often run into is people when I'm trying to discuss contrasting opinions who will say "I don't have time to do all that, someone I trust said it, that's good enough for me!" and ignore blatant facts like "this 'scientist' you're quoting is employed by a lobbyist group.. "
