Nobody is criticising Hardik for accepting the offer to change teams. But the decision to step down from MI captain position should have came from Rohit and not from the management considering what he has done for the franchise. Also Hardik getting injured most of the time for national team and being fit for IPL has played its part in this scenario and BCCI still kept him in higher grade players list where other players could have been kept.

Please don’t tell csk transition was smooth. We went through Jadeja fiasco in 2022. And also Ruturaj is a risk that CSK have taken, unlike Hardik who is a proven IPL captain.

Hardik has led his team to two finals in his first two seasons as the captain, won one, nearly won another, no other player can boast of such record. For all those who say Nehra was the sole reason, remember he coached the RCB bowling too, he was criticised by many during that tenure for his coaching style. Now the same guy is getting all the praise. Just because you guys hate Hardik doesn't mean he hasn't done anything. It's the captain-coach duo that should work together, no single person can do that.
He moulded himself at no.4, so that the other finishers like Miller, Tewatia can serve the team better.
He scored nearly 500 runs in that season, was the MOM in the final in 2022, I mean it's crazy, nobody gave a chance to GT after the mega auction, forget about winning the trophy.
Yes, the way the captaincy shift was handled could have been better, but Hardik certainly doesn't deserve the hate.
