Mixed feelings. I wouldn’t say it’s basic hygiene but it’s something so easily changeable that I also wouldn’t consider it body shaming/critique. And I can understand just feeling more attracted to your partner without a unibrow so wanting it gone. But it’s also the BFs right to want to keep it. It’s a difficult situation, I wouldn’t really say anyone is the A-hole

what kills me here is the 'so i do' when it comes to backing off, when clearly OP doesnt? going at it with 'a softer approach' isnt backing off, its just using an other method to try and force this poor guy to fit your standards of beauty. and saying its about hygiene is just crazy, body hair is natural and having it doesnt make someone dirty. if its so unsexy to OP then just admit to being shallow and break up with the guy, he deserves better

Hmm so I'm in minority here but i don't think she's an ah, as long as she doesn't make any mean comments about it ?
I'm looking at it more form the angle off :
men expect woman to constantly shave their legs and armpits, it's not baiscic hygin, it Only has estchetic value , in fact these hair are there for a reason so .. I don't see why she can't ask her boyfriend to shave a tiny spot on his forgead when she porbbebly has to shave her entire body for him 😅

NTA. If he was edging up his unabrow and hair in general when you met. Then stopped because he got comfortable in the relationship. Then you have the right to ask about it. If his appearance is no longer attractive to you then go ahead and opt out of the relationship. Attraction plays a big part in a relationship. Your the one who has to look at him for the next how many years. If you can't see past his looks then maybe you should move on.

I am a woman with a unibrow. That's not general hygiene it's a personal preference. If my spouse told me to fix my unibrow I would break up with them immediately because it's my body not hers
