The movie to me felt like it was written by two different people. One that wanted to deliver a genuine heartfelt message, and one who hates the patriarchy and they just smashed both together.

I liked it! I can't tell if this is satire bc I think the whole point is 'booo bad patriarchy booo hiss' and I don't really see how it would be brainwashing or demoralizing women. Can someone who understands it better dumb it down for me a little? Thanks:)

My daughter in college saw this with several sorority sisters. She said the doll and accessories visual humor was cute, but aside from this none of them really liked the movie. My daughter said the story was basically mean, and the ending was not really happy.

I am a 15 year old boy who watched it with my 11 year old and we enjoyed the movie and didn't get anything of this. I just felt bad for the "Kens" and specially "Ken".

THANK YOU ABBY! YES, "Barbie" the movie (if you can call it that) was objectively a BAD movie. All of you in the comments saying you "enjoyed it" ... I'm sure you enjoyed elements of it, but NONE of you can provide any good reasons as to why the movie was "good" ... I'll wait, but won't hold my breath ... because there isn't anything you could provide that would prove this truthful point otherwise.

I agree with some parts of the movie and I disagree with others. I loved the colors and fun songs but I would have rather had a fun Barbie vibe movie than what they made it to be. It just didn’t seem like “Barbie”
