The Japanese perspective on gender is interesting to see in comparison to American ideals. I was recently watching Kaiba and this portrayal of intense sexuality and heterosexuality compared to the main character being stuck in a women’s body was super interesting.

I find it so funny when people say that "anime is going woke" when jojo exists. Jojo may not be perfect in first parts when it comes to representation, but it was litteraly ahead of its time when it comes to reconstriction of masculinity, male fashion and gender roles. Also Araki was willing to have female mc even in part 5 and and featired openly gay couples in part 5
