There is an actual true story regarding Napoleon and a particular rabbit just before his invasion of Russia with his grand Army. When Napoleon had decided to declare war on Russia, he had several weeks of nightmares of a bear on top of him and eating his heart out of his chest. he disregarded these nightmares and decided to march towards Russia for an invasion. They got to a small stream which was the border of Russia on the route that they had taken and his army began crossing a small bridge to get into Russia. While this was going on a small rabbit sprung out of the grass and ran past Napoleon's horse which reared up, causing Napoleon to fall to the ground. His officers that witnessed this incident (and maybe knew about his previous nightmares) told him that this was a bad omen and that they should not invade Russia, but Napoleon disregarded their fears and concerns and continued the invasion which resulted as we know in pretty much the utter destruction of Napoleon grand Army such that, of the half a million men who marched into Russia, about 75,000 ever returned.
