Extra tip for gore!: for the bl00d, use different shades of red, brown, and black (I also recommend mixing red with green to get a realistic bl00d color). For gore on the inside of the mouth I like to make those thin hot glue strings and think ones to. (I'll post a tutorial showing how I do it :D) hope these help!
Edit: it's posted! (Make sure you turn up your volume btw ;-;), oh and for bl00d you can also mix shades of red with shades of brown :)

Yessss painting the puppets white before the actual colors is a rlly good detail. It makes it seem like a blank canvas or a blank sheet of paper.
