So after time.....how does it work?
What your conclusion after 2 year of using belt system?
Im on the point to do simillar but with 35 mm wide belt(my cnc is 5x10 feets)
Does the bottom timming belt is so important?
If the bering just pinch the belt to the angle(with low pressure) you tink it's gonna work or not?
Thank's a lot
Fred

HTD is a great selection. I was advised againt the T5-T10 range, since they are more unprecise from the loose fitting of the belts/pullies. Great job, good inspiration though!

How do you ensure that the two belts are "in phase" so that they mesh properly? Is there some way of adjusting the position of the main belt drive pulley or the two bearings that maintain contact between the driven belt and the static belt?

Great Vid very innovative gantry linear motion design but making me listen to the whole bob the builder song is just cruel. ;)

Great design. Is there a reason that you picked HTD belt profile over other options? I would imagine that another profile would mesh more exactly, but maybe you want the valleys smaller than the peaks to maximize friction/contact.

Hey, How you made the belt drive looks really good! I'm working on a CNC machine, and I got some inspiration from this video :)  , so I think I'm going to make something similar to your belt drive! I just wonder where you got your helical nylon gears?

Great video. Too bad about the horrible music. What does music add to a cnc?

Very nice work. I've been considering this idea, I've been working with lead screws up to this point. Can you tell me where you purchased your rails and carriages?

clean those plastic gears, otherwise, they will get destroyed soon, little particles plus friction will wear down them
