Costco has really big, really cheap, black and yellow crates that help a ton for moving large collections of stuff.
I have tons of my Mega stuff boxed up for storage or if I need to move here soon as well, albeit, some of those boxes have turned into the type of thing you see eBay hauls do where they just dump all the parts together and they start becoming a mess.
Besides the bulk packing, I have figures somewhat parted out into boxes that are pretty small but fit a good few handfuls of figures each, along with some tackle/bead boxes for specific figures that need separated as to not damage them rubbing against each other.

large flat surfaces like boxes or tables upsidown can hold lots of sets safe, carry sets in hand per trip, suit cases can be filled up too... just moved recently too.

It's usually best to make it easy on yourself now and then harder on yourself later when you get to your new house pretty much you could just pack All Marines and I mean all Marines into a single box or bag and then all Spartans, banished grunts, covenant grunts, Banished elites, covenant elites, Banished brutes, covenant brutes, ect and then sort it all out when you get to the new house

WOAH you have lego POWER MINERS ? ( 0:20 ) I loved those figures, I never had them myself I always saw friends with them when I was young and always wanted them. They're so cool. I wish lego continued making those sets, they were so original and different.
