Have tein progressive lowering springs on the mighty Fit. They're okay. They aren't super good with stock shocks but they do the job of minimizing roll with hard cornering on the semis. I lose pace on really bumpy backroads even with 14inch wheels with meaty sidewalls as the front is bouncing too much.
They also stuff up the suspension geometry a bit so the car feels less playful than stock. Pros and cons. Would be much better if I had access to upgraded dampeners. I also broke my front subframe when I drove over a rock that any stock car would have cleared.
It's possible that 15inch re003s on stock suspension would be faster around CHCH hills.

I once had lowering springs on my Mazda 3. Handled like a go kart but generally hated the firmness looking back. I have tein coilovers on my legacy GT (7/6kg spring rate) and they're comfier than the Bilsteins they came with!
