Painting baseboards is more about protecting floors. Use contractor tape to keep that carpet flat and protected. This method will lead to disaster

Anyone else catch those paint spots on the carpet? The true best way is to buy the rolls of carpet plastic (carpet protection film) that has a light adhesive side, not the loose painters plastic at home stores, and you lay it down and tuck it under the base. You should still be very meticulous while painting.

Need a little more paint on that brush, I can hear the dry bristles, also back roll with a small roller to rid the streaks

Use the cling plastic made for carpet and tuck it under the baseboard. Too easy.

Nope. Always paint the walls first. Easier to cut-in the baseboard to the finished wall than the other way around
