Used to work around ammonia and other crows of stuff I wore out a pair of kinetics and about 6 months got a crescent and it's still going strong after 2 years.

My pliers wrench ain't rusty, and I constantly use them.
Look after your tools better, the scrapes and dings are more asethetic.

So you're saying that if someone uses their tools properly and takes care of them, they're not using them. I have tools that get used daily and were passed down from my dad, they still look new and I've been using then for over 30 yrs.

I don't understand why people edc channel locks, I have multiple sets of Milwaukee, channel lock, knipex, and husky. I never carry them on myself even at work as an electrician they stay in my tool bag what are you all doing that you need to carry them all the time?

I carry 8” adjustable pliers at work in my coveralls. I work in a underground mine. They’re not knipex, as I’m prone to dropping or losing shit. I’ve started to hate quick adjust pliers because if you’re trying to loosen a nut the button is facing your work. If you hit that button your pliers open and slip. 😬 hurts the knuckle

I use knipex at work all the time. Best channel lock pliers I’ve ever used. But if I’m on my days off and I need to carry them around, I have screwed up royally and things has gone to hell, or I’m helping a friend. People go out of their way to have stuff to help others, which in itself can be a good thing, but how often are you helping random strangers everyday really?

Tbh, the only edc pliers i would use would be in a multitool. I don't use them enough to need a dedicated one, and the knipex ones are more like an adjustable wrench, which just isn't practical for my everyday use cases. If i do find myself needing something like these, it will be in a place where i have toolkits.
