That is one super strange looking intersection, here in New Zealand this would've been redesigned straight away with correct lane positioning, reshaped footpath/curb, and 'no entry' signs placed just after the corner of this T intersection on that one way street.

Bad signage, should be a sign on the lampost by the mailbox and the painted arrow is not very clear. This seems like a test trap for people not familiar with the area, or the local roads are just generally this badly laid out?
