For the price they're hard to beat <$20 for a fairly sturdy fixed blade with 1095 steel. Ive had my companion almost 14 years, dressed everything from birds to deer with it and its still going strong. Now its not the end all be all in the knife world but its still a damn good knife.

When someone says Mora, I think of a cheap knife made of decent steel that I won't worry about droppin in the lake or smashing it in a toolbox. The Garberg doesn't fit the bill here. I'm not saying its a bad knife, I just don't see what all the raving is about.

Well the mora in the video completely defeats the purpose of mora imo. Whats nice about morakniv is they're cheap and theyre an actual decent knife. I dont use any of my moras much but i have found 1 thing that they do better than any other knife ive tested (whch is a lot of knives) and thats stripping varnish off a wooden handle. They work amazing for that. Theres plenty of other knives that are better at other tasks, but with the mora, id say its worth having a few. Specifically the 511 or companion as theyre actually affordable. The garberg is a waste of money. Barely an improvement over the companion and you could buy like 10 companions for the price of 1 garberg. For that price range, a randall design okc would make the most sense.

The expensive moras are all terrible value. The basic cheap ones are good for the price.

I only bought the floating one with the cork handle for my boat. Cuts limes just fine 😆

I got a mora robust cuz everybody said how good they were and its terrible i gave it to my nephew and hes destroyed the edge and snapped the tip off twice i dont even bother sharpening it all the way anymore lol

I like my moras and I like scandi grinds but I've gotten nicer scandi grinds for lower costs that have more bang for buck

Hey I had my companion for 8 years and just bought my first bark river aurora scandi in cpm3v. The companion is a great knife though and affordable

I could care less about the garberg but that cheap ass 10 dollar knife is perfect for some pretty heavy duty tasks and you wont be pissed if you snap a 10 dollar knife rather than a 200 dollar benchmade knife.
