this kind of helps, unless you are from the North of England, where we definitely don't pronounce the verb 'come' in the same way. Best advice is the first bit - just listen to her and copy.

The "come" comparison doesn't work so well in non-RP British accents! In my accent it's more like the word "karma", which is a very different vowel to the one in "come".
