When I was a kid I had a nerf “long shot” and I remember being so extremely disappointed when I realized that it shot farther without the long barrel attachment.

Barrels on great for foam dart blasters obviously I assume you're only talking about flywheelers right because springers the longer the barrel usually the more power and accuracy you can get out of them remember everything goes off the volume of the plunger tube in a spring-powered blaster
