Oh, heeeey...there's a question for the Q&A. How do you manage your TBR? Is there a spreadsheet somewhere? Spin in a circle & point to a shelf? Is is a pile-driven system?

WAIT. WAIT. Lay out 3 books in the cemetery with treats & LET THE CROWS CHOOSE. And then the cats! Will the species agree?! Will we discover that corvids prefer gothics & felines are more partial to slashers?! THIS IS IMPORTANT WORK, SINEAD.

I can't get over how gorgeous the cover of Slashed Beauties is! I'm intrigued by Salt Bones. Happy birthday month!

Happy Birthday Month!!! 🎉 I also love T. Kingfisher and I’ve read all of her current horror books and the one that truly gave me the chills was “The Hollow Places.” So, if you haven’t read that one I definitely recommend it! And if you have read it what was your opinion of it?

A house with good bones was indeed a very enjoyable read for me in 2024. It was my read during our annual April cottage getaway.

My only plan for August is to finish the last book in the Licanius Trilogy. It's over 700 pages, so depending on how busy work gets, it might be the only thing I read in August.

My august TBR so far is Slewfoot, The girl in the tower, Spinning Silver and The September house. Currently I am reading “He: Understanding Masculine Psychology” by Robert A. Johnson, a Junguian analysis of male psychology. Not as many books as I would like, but since I have a 5 years old daughter that requires some attention, a full time job and a wife to ballance it all, I will be really happy if I complete those.

I related on almost all planes with the narrator in House with Good Bones, please stick with it. The payoff is GOOD. And I just finished Silent Companions from your recommendation OMG. Stunner. Loved it completely.

happy birthday month!🎉 i've read bitterthorn, i think it's good but hungerstone is just better in every way imho. i recently read "it was her house first", a quick and fun haunted house story told from the pov's of the woman who recently bought the house and one of the ghosts that inhabits it, specifically the ghost of the enemy of the lady of the house (who is also haunting the place). i'm currently reading the library at hellebore thanks to your recommendation and it's as crazy as you described it 😂 the violence and gore are almost comically over the top at times but i'm enjoying it immense

Happy birthday! I just finished Grey Dog by Elliott Gish--a solid 4 star read for me. I just started Hungerstone today as my library loan finally came in. Very eager for that one. IDNF'd Our Share of NIght--I grew up in the 1980s in the US and I just already have had enough Satanic panic for one lifetime, but I can see why others love it.
