CO2 is NOT pollution. CO2 levels are at 420 ppm, Dinosaurs lived with 1000- 2000+ ppm. The fact is that CO2 levels are optimally best for plant life around 600 - 1000 ppm, depending on temperature. So the handwringing “woefully…” comments are pure BS.

It was a woeful problem of our politicians taking the actions to be dictators over our lives. We can catastrophize the current situation all we want, but it still is what it is, a catastrophization, not a true catastrophe.
